Terrible Swede the "Earthy" Lutheran Blog vs The Largest Filipino on Earth vs "The Fluffy"
Doctrinal differences are important to the Lutherans because at the root of every false doctrine is the devil, seeking to destroy the Gospel.

SATURDAY IN THE FIFTH WEEK OF LENT

“Be not Thou far from me, O Lord; O my Strength, hasten Thee to help me.Save me from the lion’s mouth: and deliver me from the horns of theunicorns. My God, My God, why has Thou forsaken Me? Why art Thou so farfrom helping Me?” (Psalm 21:19-22, 1 – the Introit for Palm Sunday)In the name of Jesus. Amen. The Introit for Palm Sunday reminds us thatthe One who rides into Jerusalem as King on Palm Sunday will be abandoned byeveryone on Good Friday. On Palm Sunday, He is their King. On GoodFriday, they say that they have no king but Caesar. The same crowd thatcalls out to Jesus, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” tomorrow, will in just afew more days yell, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!”And what about His disciples? One of them betrays Him, one denies Him, andthe rest scatter when the Shepherd is struck. All of them abandon Jesus. On he Cross, Jesus will cry out this Psalm as God Himself abandons Him, “MyGod, my God, why have you forsaken me?”But you know why God forsook Him, don’t you? God forsook Jesus to save you.All your sins, all the reasons that God has to abandon you, were put uponHim. Jesus had no sins, but He took your sins upon Himself on the Cross, and He died for them. By His suffering and death, you are delivered fromdeath and suffering in hell.Sometimes, things may seem as though God has abandoned you. You may feelalone. You may feel that all your friends have abandoned you and betrayedyou.God cannot abandon you. He didn’t find something inside you that makes youun-abandon-able. Everything rests on the Cross of Christ! The Fatherforsook Jesus so that He would never ever forsake you. Jesus was abandonedso that God will never ever abandon you.Remember your Baptism. In Holy Baptism, God put His Name on you. Godcannot abandon you after He has abandoned His Son on the Cross. God cannotabandon you, you are Baptized! You bear the name of Christ, the Oneabandoned by God so that you would never be abandoned by Him. In the Nameof Jesus. Amen.“Almighty and everlasting God, who hast sent Thy Son, our Savior JesusChrist, to take upon Him our flesh and to suffer death upon the cross thatall mankind should follow the example of His great humility, mercifullygrant that we may both follow the example of his patience and also be madepartakers of His resurrection; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, wholiveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, worldwithout end. Amen.” (the Collect for Palm Sunday)
