There Are Some Lutherans (LCMS and WELS) Who Say...
...Some of the good, right and salutory practices of the Lutheran church today (i.e., crucifixes, clergy wearing vestments, bowing, kneeling, making the sign of the cross, incense, the common cup, etc.) are too Roman Catholic.

As a catholic school boy (7-12th grade student, but never an altar boy), I prefer Lutheran Christianity. I liken it to beer:
Miller=Catholic
Miller Lite=Lutheran
Great taste(playing cards, dancing, drinking, married clergy) and less filling. (Less holy days, less sacraments, less child abuse).
I love Lutheran Christianity.
GREAT TASTE, LESS FILLING!!!

You know what, Nick?
Light beer sucks.
There's no taste to it - this also implies less alcohol, too. I don't care if it's the acclaimed Sam Adams Light.
They all (light beer) taste like shit.
There's always a problem when you try to pull theology from American Beer.
